Marking Time, 2018
Having been selected as the Dorset Visual Arts/ b-side Bursary Artist I made a site-specific drawing on the promenade at Chiswell each day during the b-side Arts festival in September 2018 using ink made from Portland Stone and tools found on Chesil beach.
The marks were made in response to the sound of breaking waves, capturing moments in time and a sense of being present in the environment. The time of the daily drawings coincided with either high or low tide.
