Time & Twine

​Funded by an Arts Council Developing Your Creative Practice grant , Time & Twine is a year long project commencing September 2025 during which I will be immersing myself in rope - seeking to understand how rope is made, how it has been used historically and learning textile basketry techniques to enable me to "take the drawn line off the page" and into sculptural forms.
I will be researching the Rope & Net Collection at Bridport Museum, visiting The Ropery at the Historic Chatham Dockyard and training with a master basketmaker. 
The results of my research at Bridport Museum are currently on show in the exhibition Short Ends until 17 July 2026.
